ATCO Power is committed to working cooperatively and in a responsive manner with the communities and families that live near our proposed and existing power plants and facilities.

In a practical sense this means:

• Consulting with affected communities and organizations about our operations;
• Providing information about the impact of our power plants on the environment;
• Keeping abreast of technological advances and mitigating our impact on the air, water and soil;
• Ensuring we have a safe work environment for employees;
• Participating and supporting appropriate community endeavours.

Our good neighbour policy is built on an open-door approach to communications. We want to build and maintain positive relations with the people in our neighbourhoods.
