Health, Safety and Environment Partners

ATCO Power, as a member of the ATCO Group of Companies, is a founding member and corporate sustainer of the Alberta Ecotrust Foundation.

The Foundation was established in 1992 as a partnership between environmental groups, corporations and concerned citizens. The mission of the foundation is to bring together diverse groups to provide financial and collaborative support to Alberta community organizations working to preserve our environment.

The Foundation matches contributions from $2,000 to $20,000 to registered not-for-profit groups for community-based, grassroots environmental initiatives.

ATCO Power is involved in several health and safety partnerships.  ATCO Power maintains a Certificate of Recognition (COR) which is given to employers who develop health and safety programs that meet established standards.  Certificates are issued by Certifying Partners (in our case, the Alberta Safety Council) and and co-signed by Alberta Human Resources and Employment.
