Wayne Symington
Wayne Symington was appointed Senior Vice President of Development, Engineering and Construction in 2006. He is currently responsible to lead all efforts related to development, engineering, and construction. He has more than 28 years of experience in Power Generation.
Wayne joined the ATCO Group of Companies in 1979 and has held increasingly senior positions, including management of the Sheerness and Battle River Generating Stations and Vice President and General Manager of Operations. Through his experience in large thermal stations and gas turbine plants he has developed strong expertise in commercial and operating management of generating facilities.
Wayne holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta. He is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists, and Geophysicists of Alberta.
