Rick Brouwer
Mr. Brouwer has been with ATCO Group for more than 25 years, beginning his career at ATCO Gas (formerly Northwestern Utilities Limited) in 1982. Since that time, he has held progressively senior positions in several ATCO companies. Mr. Brouwer joined ATCO Midstream in 1993 and held the positions of Senior Manager, Marketing, General Manager, Integrated Gas Systems and Vice President, Gas Gathering & Processing. He was appointed President, ATCO Midstream in July 2000, President, ATCO Pipelines in August 2004, and President, ATCO Power in May 2006.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta in 1982, Mr. Brouwer attended the Management Development Program for Professional Engineers at the University of Alberta in 1990 and the Richard Ivey School of Business (Marketing Management) in London, Ontario in 1999.
Mr. Brouwer is a current member of the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta (APEGGA). He is a former member of the Canadian Gas Processors Association, the Small Explorers and Producers Association of Canada (SEPAC), and the Canadian Energy Pipeline Association (CEPA). He presently holds a position on the Board of the Canadian Electricity Association (CEA) and enjoys other volunteer and fundraising opportunities within the community.
